The Lower Atrium

As you descend our beautiful wrought iron staircase you enter the Lower Atrium, perhaps one of the most unique spaces within The Exchange. The look and atmosphere of the space changes completely depending on how it is used. This busy, open space is directly accesses from the busy Sturminster shopping street making it idea for gift and craft fairs, produce markets and community fairs. With a small kitchenette incorporated into the space, users have the option of serving refreshments within their event. It has also been used for display purposes and public consultations as again, it is easy to utilise the footfall of the general public.

With its low ceiling,window blackouts, portable staging and fitted spotlights, the space can also be transformed to create a smaller and more intimate concert space which has proved popular for cafe style performances. The Atrium allows cabaret seating for around one hundred people.

With toilets situated just off the atrium, a kitchenette facility and the option of hiring the Chivrick as an overflow space, the Atrium has also provided the perfect setting for private functions.
